1. Sign up
You need to sign up to comment and submit articles.
To sign up:
1. Click 'Sign up'
2. Enter all details requested; you need to submit a unique username and email address to sign up. If someone has already signed up using that username and/oror email address, you'll receive an error message and you'll need to submit the form again using different a different username and/or email address.
3. Once you've signed up, we'll send a unique link to your submitted email address. As soon as you've clicked that link, your login has been activated and you can now comment and publish articles to the Website.
2. Forgotten password?
If you've signed up before but have forgotten your password, click 'Forgotten password?', enter your email address, click 'send' and we'll reply with your password.
3. Commenting
To comment on an article you must be signed in.
4. Adding articles
To submit an article (blog, column or story) to Death to Glamour, first sign in and then click 'Profile'/'New article'
You must fill in all article fields.
The 'tag' in the drop down is used to categorise your article. When a user clicks that tag on any article on the Website they'll be taken to a page displaying chosen articles marked with that tag. Don't worry too much about this as we'll reallocate articles to different tags as required.
If you want to use an image found online, right click on the image, click 'properties', and then copy the url into the 'imageurl' box.
If you do not want to include an image with your article; select 'no image'.
To embed a video from YouTube, go to www.youtube.com, find the video and use the 'Embed' function; if you can, customise the code with a pink border, then just copy and paste the embed code into the body of your article. Note the code must go within the body of your article.
If we like an article you've submitted; we'll move it into the main body of the site. If several of your articles are moved in this way, we'll notify you to let you know that you've been made a 'Writer'. This means that you are now able to publish directly to the main site whenever you like.
5. Your Profile
Once signed up, other users will be able to see your username. In your profile you can also add a picture and description which other users will be able to see from their profile section. To edit this information go to profile/click here to edit it.
6. Friends/Followers
If you would like to follow a certain contributor then add them as a friend; by clicking on their name in the people section of your profile, then adding them as a friend. Your new friend will then be able to see you listed as one of their followers within their profile. Likewise, you can view a list of your followers within your profile.
